The Cookie Boogie is the seventh episode of Whisker Haven Tales with the Palace Pets.
When Miss Featherbon's magic dust turns Berry's cat-shaped cookies into real cats, it's up to Treasure and Berry to stop the cookies from ruining Pumpkin's Dance Recital.
Summary[]
Pumpkin is twiriling at her dress rehearsal for her recital that evening. She checks her checklist and sees she needs refreshments. She checks in at Berry's kitchen to see her icing cookies. Berry assures her the cookies, gingerbread cat cookies, are almost finished. Treasure, who was in the kitchen, tosses one into her mouth but is stopped by Berry, who reminds her the cookies are for later. She asks for Treasure to hand over sprinkles. Treasure goes to the pantry and sees two jars of sprinkles: one blue, and one sparkly green. She selects the sparkling sprinkles and gives the jar to Berry, who pours the sprinkles onto the cookies. The cookies begin to rattle on the tray and then leap up and meow. This startles Berry, who asks about the sprinkles again before both Berry and Treasure fall into a heap of baking equipment. The cookies meow and leave just as Miss Featherbon enters the room. She sees the half empty jar of sprinkles on the table and is relieved to see that she had left the "magic glitter bits" there.
Berry and Treasure's attention is grabbed by Pumpkin calling for help as the cookie cats chase her around her stage. She grabs onto a hanging moon prop to keep herself out of reach of the cookies. Berry and Treasure watch and Treasure makes a pun ("A cat-atstrophe?"), upsetting Pumpkin who tells them to catch the cookies. Treasure chases them into some hedges, but unluckily captures a small bee instead and has to dive into the fountain to avoid getting stung. Berry puts out a dish of milk which attracts one cookie, but knocks the dish of milk over onto her head when she goes to capture it. Treasure chases a cookie up a tree but ends up flung in the air as she tries to reach from branch to branch, falling back in the fountain. Pumpkin laments that she won't be able to perform her various dance moves as she twirls about, and this attracts a cookie over to jump up. Berry urges her to keep dancing, and her twirling and leaping attracts the cookies, who follow her lead around the stage. Pumpkin leads the cookies into a basket Berry puts out, and Miss Featherbon comes over to revoke the magic spell. Pumpkin stops her and asks to keep the cookies. Treasure promises to help as well so Miss Featherbon agrees.
At the dance recital, Pumpkin performs alongside the cookies, while Treasure mans the lights. Berry tosses a bouquet to Pumpkin after the performance.
